Dile a la ciudad lo que quieres que sepa (Tell the city what you want it to know)

Dile a la ciudad lo que quieres que sepa (Tell the city what you want it to know), 2016-, consists of a perifoneo used by children. Children speak into microphones connected to a PA mounted on the car’s roof. The action is proposed to the children as an opportunity for them to claim space in their urban environment, and to have their thoughts heard. A local pedagogue drives the car around the city as the children provided a running commentary on their passing surroundings. On the car’s roof is an LED screen flashing the names of the children inside the car. The children are provided with a video camera to document their experiences from inside the car. It has been realized in Oaxaca, Mexico, in collaboration with, Adriana De La Rosa, Casa Rosa Mutante, and Jaime Ruiz as part of Hacer Noche, curated by Elvira Dyangani Ose, GFZK in Leipzig, curated by Franciska Zólyom, and in independently in Montevideo, Uruguay.
